Re-registration

Helping you to get your vehicle back on the road
How we help

If your vehicle registration has lapsed or been cancelled, it will need to be inspected and re-certified before it can be driven on NZ roads.

A re-registration inspection is more comprehensive than a Warrant or Certificate of Fitness (WoF or CoF) to ensure your vehicle meets all the required NZ road safety standards.

Once your vehicle has passed the inspection, you can register it with new registration plates and obtain a Certificate of Registration.
